The Beco Butterfly is a buckle carrier designed to grow with your child from birth through toddlerhood. The padded hip belt and shoulder straps ensure that it's as ergonomic and comfortable for you as it is for your baby! The unique internal harness system allows you to buckle baby into the carrier and then put on baby and carrier as one unit. This allows passing baby and carrier back and forth between caregivers, and from 5-6 months up enables the easiest back carries ever! The removable baby insert works for newborns through 15 pounds. The Beco Butterfly can be worn with baby front facing in or on your back. A detachable sleeping hood provides support for sleepy little heads.

Like other soft structured carriers, the Beco Butterfly appeals to modern parents because it is based on familiar webbing-and-buckle adjusters found on backpacks. The hip belt transfers your baby's weight to your lower body. The shoulder straps are worn around your shoulders and under your arms for front and back carries, with an adjustable chest clip to keep the shoulder straps comfortably and securely placed. Baby is first buckled into the Beco Butterfly via the internal harness system. A wide seat provides ergonomic support for her rear end and legs, while the infant insert adapts for smaller babies between 8 and 15 pounds for a narrower straddle and a higher position inside the carrier. The internal harness system completely takes the fear factor out of back carries -- it's as simple to get your baby on your back as it is to put on a backpack!
